Ich bau Dir ein Schloss
Heintje - superstar in Germany late 60s born in
55, 56, or 57) He must be about my age today. His friend with the blond hair
looks like she was born in the very early 60's. What is she doing today? Is she
a star too?
Look at that guy with the hat, driving the train. I give you one guess what he
was doin' 20 years before this film was made.
Literal translation of Ich bau Dir ein Schloss, by Chris Busing, (to best of
my ability (cant figure out last line.)
Ill build you a castle, so as in fairytales.
There live I with you then entirely alone.
I'll build you a castle, when I once grown up am.
There can you then (be) glad and happy be.
(chorus)
Der blaue Himmel schaut auf uns herab.
The blue Heaven looks on us from above.
Tells you every day, how love I (for) you have.
Und alle Wolken ziehen so schnell vorbei.
And all clouds pass so quickly by.
Ein Traumschloss fuer uns zwei (zwar).
A dream castle for us two (or, to be sure).
I'll build you a castle. You will already (soon) see.
Because I will already be grown up, then we will be one.
Wo Blumen fuer Dich im Garten stehen.
Where flowers for you in the garden stay.
Da wird jeder Tag ein Sonntag sein
There will every day a Sunday be.
(chorus)
Healthy!
Found this one last week. This is number one
yodeling champion in Switzerland. Her father and mother are in the group. She is
singing a song about her father in some mish-mash of a Swiss/German dialect that
I can't understand.
